These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of LIMATO Voice, a Chrome extension for offline speech-to-text (the “Service”). The Service is operated by a self-employed individual (trabajador autónomo) established in Spain, contact support@limato.app (“LIMATO Voice”, “we”, “us”). Our full identification, tax number, and fiscal address are available on request to competent authorities and to users with a legitimate legal interest. By installing or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

Plain summary. LIMATO Voice transcribes your speech on-device — no audio ever leaves your browser. You can use the Free tier (20 transcriptions/day) or buy Pro once for lifetime access. Payment is handled by Lemon Squeezy. Don’t abuse the Service. 14-day refund guarantee on Pro.

1. The Service

LIMATO Voice is a Chrome (Manifest V3) extension that captures audio from your microphone and transcribes it to text using an on-device AI model (ONNX Runtime Web). All audio processing happens locally inside your browser; no audio or transcription data is sent to any server.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the European Economic Area) to use the Service.
No account or sign-in is required. The Service runs entirely locally except for optional license activation.

3. Free tier and Pro license

The Free tier allows up to 20 transcriptions per day, counted locally on your device.
LIMATO Voice Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks unlimited transcriptions for life. There is no subscription or recurring charge.
Pro is sold and billed by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy handles payment processing, sales tax, invoicing, and chargebacks on our behalf.
Your Pro license key can be activated on 1 device at a time. You can deactivate it from within the extension and reactivate on another device.

4. Refunds

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on Pro purchases. To request a refund within 14 days of purchase, email us at support@limato.app with your order number. After 14 days, purchases are generally non-refundable.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

Transcribe content for illegal purposes, including wiretapping or recording others without their consent where prohibited by law.
Circumvent daily limits or license checks — for example, by modifying the extension, cloning the repository for commercial redistribution, or sharing a single license key across more than 5 devices.
Resell, white-label, or redistribute the extension outside the official Chrome Web Store.
Attack or interfere with our license server or any other infrastructure.

6. Model files and third-party components

On first use, the extension downloads speech recognition model files (~500 MB) from Hugging Face CDN and ONNX Runtime Web binaries from jsDelivr CDN. These are cached in your browser. After the initial download, the extension operates fully offline.

7. Intellectual property

The LIMATO Voice extension, name, and logo are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the extension for personal or internal business use. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the extension outside the Chrome Web Store.

The on-device AI model files are subject to their own open-source licenses (MIT / Apache 2.0). Your transcribed text belongs to you.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using the Service you agree to the data practices described there.

9. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the extension. We may suspend or terminate your license key if you violate these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Governing Law) will survive.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. Transcription accuracy depends on microphone quality, background noise, language, and accent. We do not warrant that transcriptions will be error-free or suitable for any particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LIMATO Voice and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid for the Service, or (b) EUR 50.

12. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time; material changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Your continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Spain, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved by the competent courts of Spain.

If you are a consumer in the EEA or UK, nothing in these Terms deprives you of mandatory consumer-protection rights under the laws of your country of residence.
